Problems

Hello there,

I have just been tryinig to start working with gnucash. I am working 
with Gnuscash in German.
I am experiencing 2 problems at the moment:

1. I cannot find the document gnucash-docs in order to get the help and 
the course ( I am using Ubuntu). Where do I get the document?
2. When I try to fill the "Anfangsbestand", I can t type in any value.
Is there any  German user out there?
