I did a search to translate -- this word apparently means "opening
balance" in English. Please correct me if that is not correct!

I believe Gnucash offers to create an opening balance transaction when
you create an account. If you do not enter an opening balance at that
time, you can create the opening transaction yourself with a
corresponding entry in the Equity:Opening Balances account.

If you already have an account tree, try creating a new account to see
what an opening balance transaction looks like, and create the
transaction yourself in the account where you need it.
