This is bug 545722: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=545722

You don't say which OS you're using. Your best option is probably to go back
to 2.2.5 or use GnuCash on Linux. There is a fix, but you'd have to be able
to compile GnuCash from source if you want to use it.

Second issue is that some QIF data downloads imports are inverting Debits
> and Credits (expenses show up as credits and Credits show up as expenses -

I'm not aware of any QIF bugs. Don't forget that when your bank talks about
a "credit", from your perspective it is actually a debit. If you still think
there is a problem, could you provide a sample QIF file and instructions for
how to reproduce the problem? If I can reproduce it, I can fix it.
