First One word of warning:
This feature is not very
userfriendly yet and it may not be useful to
you at all. But it is useful to me and some
others, so I added it.
With the end of year and ths taxed drawing
near have added a configurable "tax"-panel
to jGnucashViewer. It can show not only
* some selected account-balances at a glance
but also just do some difficult to obtain sums.
* the sums of increases or just decreases of the balance.
It can furthermore be limited to only
* count transactions that feature a given set of
accounts on the other end(s).

This simplifies gathering some statistics
that your account-layout did not anticipate.
(e.g. counting all the refunds gathered into
an expenses-account indeendend of the
expennses going there or the sum of
all transactions that can be classified as
featuring one of a few given accounts on
the other side.)
Contrary to the OpenOffice-macro, this
one also handles multiple currencies
(even if multiple quotes need ot be chained
until the desired target-currency is reached).
It also features a CSV-export that will output
the values for the current day as well the first
day of the current and as up to the last 100
month, days or years (stopping after 100 rows
or when there are no more matching transactions.)
