Error installing gnucash2.2.8 on Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Intel)

I found it basically impossible to install GnuCash on OSX. You have to  
be a power user at the least to do so. The best work around I found  
was to use a virtual machine. I happen to use VMware Fusion. Does the  
job quite excellently.
