"unspecified fatal error" with Win XP Pro

[Notlob]

new user wants to move from [old] quick books.

i downloaded (md5 checked ok) and installed latest vers 2.2.3
immediately got these messages:

temp dirs emptied, uninstalled then downloaded again (about 25 minutes ago).
re-installed but exactly the same problem.

any thoughts please?
