Unspecified Fatal Error

Hi,

I hope somebody can shed some light on this problem I have suddenly 
started having. I have been using gnucash 2.2.3 on Windows XP with all 
updates except IE7.

Suddenly today when starting gnucash I got a message box with the title
'Error' and the message 'Unspecified fatal error encountered, aborting.' 
with an OK button. On clicking OK another message box is displayed with 
the title 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library' and the message:

	Runtime Error!

	Program: C:\Program Files\gnucash\bin\gnucash-bin.exe

	The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
	unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for
	more information.

Clicking OK closes the box.

The trace file in C:\Documents and Settings\Richard\Local Settings\Temp 
contains one line:

	*  OTHER <> Can't create CORBA main-thread wakeup pipe

I uninstalled gnucash, downloaded 2.2.3 again, confirmed the md5 and 
installed it. However I'm still getting exactly the same error.

I have searched the gnucash-user mailing list archive but have not found 
any reference to this specific error. Can anyone offer any suggestions 
as to what might be the problem?
