online quote update and winXP problem

i was having activeperl 5.6 installed. i have de installed it, and install
now 5.8 and will try.

anyway i dont understand something : why the files : gnc-fq-update ,
gnc-fq-helper, dump, ... have no .pl extensions. when i want to run it as
perl program, activeperl need the to have this extension. So I add it. But I
dont know if it is correct to force files like that.
