Not noise at all.  I am getting a better understanding.  For example
I didn't realize that I could give the filename with the gnucash
command.

I do agree that the simlink should work.  As I mentioned in the other
thread, I bailed out as soon as gnucash treated me as a new user (I
now understand that this is stored in gconf).
