installing gnucash on Red Hat Enterprise 5

FWIW that is what I do and it is much earier than building it yourself.

The web page is;

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL

To add the repository you do (as root);

rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/i386/epel-release-5-2.noarch.rpm

(you might want to change the i386 bit).

Then just;

yum install gnucash
