Is there a good reason *not* to do it the obvious way:
- open GnuCash as usual, if it's not already running
- use "Save As" to store the data in the new location (and cause GnuCash 
to regard this as the "current" file, and remember it)
- er, that's it (apart from optionally deleting it from the original 
location).
