"Tools > Close Book" doesn't seem to do what I want, i.e., to shrink gnucash file by rolling up transactions

Who says that JGnucashLib is an XML-based tool?
It already has a database-backend that I'll
adapt to support whatever final schema the gnucash-dev -people
come up with for their first stable version that uses databases.
