There are a bunch of bugs affecting date entry:
1. There is a bug with changing dates on 2.2.6 which is almost exclusively
reported on Windows. The fix will be in 2.2.7, due any day now. So wait for
2.2.7 or go back to 2.2.5 for this one.
2. There are several unrelated bugs specifically for the calendar. The most
important is that the calendar is non-responsive in all modal dialogs, which
includes the reconcile dialog. I assume that one just affects Windows, but
don't quote me. There is a fix for all of these calendar-related bugs
waiting for backport, but the fix may or may not make it into 2.2.7
depending on time constraints.
