Another way.
You might want the accounts as a fixed list. I say "might" because at
least in my reporting which accounts have non-zero balances changes over
time and many are ones I would want showing only if a non-zero balance
(things like "bank error" or "undeposited funds" or "funds needing to be
transferred to national" belong of the quarterly reports only if matter
is "open" at the end of the quarter or various expenses that are
"unusual" or "seasonal".
But the DATE RANGE would always be different. A particular report is run
ONCE and never again so the easiest thing is to export it to a directory
(file folder) where you keep reports. It no longer needs to be generated
by GnuCash. You'd be doing THAT if and only if you were going back and
making a correction to the books and then rerunning the report -- which
properly speaking you do not do but instead later make a correcting entry.
