1) How to install Finance::Quote under Windows XP?

This should be installed automatically with Gnucash, but if there is some
reason why this can't be done, then you need to make it clear exactly what
Windows users need to do.

It took a bit of guessing to think to install Strawberry Perl and then type
Perl gnc-fq-update and likewise, Perl gnc-fq-dump - I hope that these guess
were correct!

2) Type of source

The notes are not a good match for what is on the screen - I can only select
from AMEX, EUREX, FUND, NASDAQ & NYSE and they are a drop down list not
radio buttons. However, under source, I can see ASX, NZX and multiples
(ASX/Yahoo Australia and Yahoo NZ and NZX - which are the two I want so that
may all pan out okay. Not sure yet. I still have to select say, AMEX.

3) Gnucash does not appear to install on Windows (XP)

If you are still fielding queries about why Gnucash does not appear to
install on Windows (XP) - in our case it was because Zone Alarm Pro was
blocking it by default and needed to be changed to expressly allow Gnucash.
Without those permissions, the first screen would never come up and the
program would die away. That issue/cause/solution should also be prominent
in your instructions

PS The program looks good and if I can get everything working, including
online quoting, I will be pleased. It is also not clear if you display,
report or automatically handle exchange gains/losses, capital gains/losses
and dividends on the stock portfolios and foreign currency accounts. If
not, please add that to your wish list.

Cheers

Don
