gnucash directory and file locations

I think there is a .bat file that runs the GC executable, if not create
one.

Modify that file to set the environment variable HOME to something other
thank your home dir or the current default. If you do this (make sure
the directory exists... you could use the App Data directory if you
wanted) and is not where you are storing your GC data files)

Launch GC at least once, and you should find the same .* directories in
the new location.  Once you see that working, just remove the files from
your normal windoze home directory.

Or... you might try marking these directories as invisible within
windoze explorer... but if you show "invisible" files, then you will
still see them.

On Unix (Linux), filenames that begin with a dot (.) are "invisible".  A
typical linux user could have 50-100 such files in her home dir, and
never be bothered by them...
