Password protection?

The statement about needing to sync the container file after
unmounting the virtual disk does not make sense to me, I'm afraid. So
long as the filesystem in which the container file resides remains
mounted, you will see the latest contents of the container file,
sync'ed or not sync'ed (sync'ing means writing the "dirty" pages in
the buffer cache out to the disk). And if you shut the system down
properly, anything that hasn't been sync'ed will be, as the
filesystems are unmounted.

Perhaps I misunderstood what Rene meant, but I strongly believe the
above to be correct.
