still having problems with printing..

i have been trying to figure out what is going on with my printing in  
gnucash..

the problem is that there are several pages worth of newlines added  
between the title of the report, and the data..

my question is:

is there any other package that gnucash relies on to render the view?

i am running the version that i downloaded with macports (2.2.9), but  
this problem has been around for several versions...

is there another package i need to update?
