Ok, thanks for your help. For what you say, I guess that Ubuntu 9.04 is
bug-less and theoretically should work fine without any adjust, right?

Sorry Manuel, my mistake! I use Debian 5.0 on my desktop and Ubuntu 9.04
like you do. I did not realize your version of Ubuntu.
On Debian I had to fix libfinance-quote-perl but Ubuntu is just fine with
its current version.

Ok, we need more brain power here!!!

Hi, Bernard:

Thanks for your help. Astonishingly, Ubuntu 9.04 has version 1.13-4
installed. Debian Etch is running 1.12-2, so ok, let's consider that Etch
has an old version, but I have the correct lib in Ubuntu and shows the same
error.

What more details about the Ubuntu system do you need me to pass? I have
googleed something about a patch due a bug (ID 46006), I have installed the
patch but no success. Nothing more to do L .

Hello Manuel,

I had a similar problem.

What version of libfinance-quote-perl do you have?
If you have version 1.13-3, that might be your problem.
Upgrade to 1.13-4 and you should be fine.

Let me know!
Bernard

               Hi, folks:

I'm trying to configure automatic quote retrieval in GNUCash v 2.0.5 in
Debian Etch, and v. 2.2.6 in Ubuntu 9.04. In both cases error happens to be
the same, when testing with 'gnu-fq-dump' all is fine, but when starting
GNUCash, it shows that currency cannot be retrieved. Log shows a results #f
that shows no much. Perl finance modules have been duly installed, and same
problem is happening in both versions. What can be wrong?
