I moved the cursor to many different places within the entry as well as
in other entries and nothing happened at all, but as soon as I deleted
one pvs entry it worked fine.

I hit 'enter' after putting a transaction in my checking account

nothing happened. Tried repeatedly and thought something wrong

     of
early (2005) transactions. Problem immediately solved - 'enter'
     saved
entry and took me to blank line. This suggests that there is an
absolute limit to the number of transactions one can have in any
account. Correct and, if so, how many? If so, is there some way I
     can
limit the number of years shown?
I like keeping multi-year transactions available for reference but
       maybe can't.

Are you using double-line mode? (View->Double Line) Because there is a
bug that, in double line mode, Enter doesn't advance to the next line
if the cursor is on the date. Works OK everywhere else. Maybe that is
   what happened?
