That's possible. I can't speak for what's in svn. Documentation always
lags development.
Go to: http://www.gnucash.org/docs.phtml
Partway down the page you'll see the help manual and concepts guide
"buttons" - they're probably good up to 2.2.6, which will be fine for
your needs.
When you're setting up your chart of accounts, select the business
option (if I remember correctly, there are several options - it's been a
few years) - that will provide you with A/P, A/R, etc.
