display options in the Accounts tab

At the extreme right of the column headings bar in the accounts tab is
an downward pointing arrow.  Clicking on this arrow opens a window with
all the available display options for the accounts tab.

Some of the options are intuitive, such as "accounts code" and
"placeholder', but most are not.  Is there any place where the
difference between, for example, "present", "balance", "total", etc. are
explained?
