As far as I know, reverse date viewing in GnuCash is currently not possible.

However, it may be possible to reverse the view of your online banking
statement.  I use the Royal Bank of Canada.  Their online banking
statement allows the option of ascending or descending view of
transactions.  Perhaps other banks do as well; I have not checked.
