Windows and Ubuntu on same system- Ubuntu runs GnuCash?

Alas, things change so fast in the linux world. The book (and any such 
book) was outdated before it left the publisher.

That's another great thing about linux. The command line is alive and 
well in linux and it feels just like home (albeit with different 
furniture) to an old DOS guy.
