Importing from Homebank?

After some problems with Gnucash, I gave a try to Homebank -- a good 
programme, but Gnucash is superior at least for my needs. So I'm 
reverting to Gnucash. I tried to import data from Homebank -- just a 
few weeks of home accounting -- but I find the operation quite 
difficult and unreliable. I exported to QIF and tried to import, but 
with little success. Would it be possible to import from CSV, the 
other format Homebank can export to?
