Price Quotes for currecy not working

For those of us "non-computer-geeks" using GC 2.2.9 under Windows XP, how do we know if the updated version is released and, more importantly, what are the EASIEST and SPECIFIC steps we must follow to update GC so Currency Quote will work properly? Thanks!
