GC 2.3.7 in Karmic Kubuntu

Odd that it says that.  I have libgoffice-0.8 installed, and not libgoffice-0.6.

Since it is a runtime problem, I suggest that you find your existing libgoffice, 
and create a symbolic link to  libgoffice-0.6.so.6.  On my Mandriva 2009.1, I 
have libgoffice-0.8.so.7.0.4, which is symlinked to libgoffice-0.8.so and 
libgoffice-0.8.so.7, so I would create another symlink from 
libgoffice-0.8.so.7.0.4 to libgoffice-0.6.so.6.  But I haven't already got the one 
you need, and my GnuCash (version 2.3.5) works O.K.

I would prefer to hear from somebody more knowledgeable.
