Export to XLS or CSV

Simple in v2.2.9:

Create a report to include the data you need.  Then File > Export > 
Export Report, and provide a file name with a .xls extension.

Even simpler, move data from the report to a blank spreadsheet with copy 
and paste.  (select it > ctrl+c > choose destination ctrl+v )
