Deleting read-only transactions

I've imported my accounting data from Quicken, and it contains a number of
old accounts no longer of any interest to me.  I've tried deleting them, but
they contain read-only transactions.  I've been able to delete the accounts
anyway and move all the transactions in them to an account I call "Dead
Transactions".  But how can I delete everything in "Dead Transactions"?   I
can delete them individually, but is there a way to delete them all at once?
