Thank you for the feedback. I suspected it to be like this. This is a known
issue, but unfortunately there is no solution for it yet:

Did you use the opening balances tab when adding accounts ? I seems this
causes trouble for some windows installations.
The problem can be avoided by not using the opening balance tab.
To help us better pinpoint the issue, can you tell us which windows version
you use, in which language and what date format windows uses by default ?
