duplicate transaction - focus lost

I use duplicate transaction a lot. Most of the time I find that keybord
input is ignored after duplicate transaction: tab, backtab, enter,
letters are ignored. The new transaction is highlighted, the cursor is
visible. The only keyboard input that is actioned is Ctrl-Delete and
Ctrl-J (shortcuts I defined for delete and Jump).

Consequently, I have to use the mouse and click somewhere in the
duplicated transaction before I can modify it.

I use 2.2.6 on Debian.
