Hi,
GnuCash uses libdbi to talk to the supported databases and by default libdbi
is installed when GnuCash gets installed. However, libdbi itself has separate
plugins for each database it can talk to. Each of these plugins is optional
and probably not installed by default. If the plugins are missing, gnucash
won't offer you the option to connect to that particular database.
Is libdbi-dbd-mysql installed on your system ?
