That's fine as well. My reply was really an invitation, not a demand. Thank
you for your suggestions.
Reading the link John posted, it looks like this behaviour is tied deeply into
gtk+/gnome and apparently the gtk+ devs still haven't come to an agreement on
how it should be fixed properly. I guess we will be stuck with this behaviour
for some time still.
If the tabs are getting on to you nerves, you could always opt to open new
pages in new windows instead of tabs. It's an option somewhere in the
preferences.
