[iMac] lost button row

Hi,

the row with the buttons like save, close etc. has suddenly disappeared. 
Any idea how to amend that? Is there any config hook to be set which I 
have not found yet?

GnuCash 2.2.9 (r17949M) on iMac (compiled via macports)
