I've not used it either, but my understanding is that Android uses a 
somewhat modified Linux kernel and a heavily modified userspace.  
Porting something like Gnucash would be very difficult because it has no 
X server and almost all of the libraries (such as GTK+/GNOME) would need 
to be ported as well.  Porting just the GnuCash engine and none of the 
UI might be possible but would probably still take a bit of work.
