You can get 2.4 on Ubuntu if you download the source and compile it; worked
a treat for me.

Ok my problem is only that the upgrade on Ubuntu will take some time to come
through where on Windoze I can install it right away.
So I might have to wait a bit. One of these days I will get rid of Windoze
altogether.
