Kubuntu 10.04 and library path problems

Probably not until the next release of Ubuntu, since normally that's
how it works, unless you use the stable release update process:

Also, normally Ubuntu will sync its package from Debian. Debian does
not have Gnucash 2.4.0 in its repositories yet, and I don't know how
likely it is to appear there until after the current release freeze.
