Dropbox with GnuCash?

Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is safe and reasonable to store my
GnuCash files on Dropbox and launch the application from Dropbox?

It all seems to work, Dropbox claims military level security for both data
in flight and data at rest, and the files are automatically backed up
whenever they change.  It seems like a nice way to ensure GnuCash data is
never lost.
