Dropbox with GnuCash?

I am familiar with TrueCrypt that I use to encrypt tax returns I do for
people but in that case I generate an encrypted disk that requires a
password to access the disk.  I didn't know you could encrypt a file and
then send it to an online storage and have it remain encrypted.      Are
you sure that is the case?  That is why I use AxCrypt.
