Environment file LANG setting

Hi
I am running GNUcash on WIN7 and I cannot get it to go into english.
I have a SwissGerman keyboard and some settings in WIN are in German so it
seems that GNUcash has assumed that I want German as the language.

I have read that all it requires is a change to the 'LANG setting in the
environment file'.

Where is this file?
Can I simply open it in a text editor and change the setting manually?
