I found some interesting information about how to create custom check formats in gnucash, all of which worked. The problem came at time to save the format. I was warned to create a new GUID, and apparently that warning was appropriate, but I cannot figure out how to create the new id. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks. Joel
