Pls help model this situation

Wow - who'd pay for a commercial finance package?  The support wouldn't be
this good!  Thanks a lot, everyone, I think I've finally got it.  However,
have I also found a gnucash bug?  It seems to me that Income at the top of
the tree does not correctly sum all the accounts below it.  Before I removed
the negative Income leaf I had leaf values of $100, and -$1123 - and several
of $0.  The top node Income then showed: $1583 - shouldn't it just be the
total of all the income leaves below it?  Or does it just behave badly when
you have an income incorrectly reading a negative number?
