making a copy of my gnucash "stuff" on a flash drive

Folks,

  What needs to be copied to a flash drive so that I may take a copy of all my 
gnucash data files with me when I visit my son (who is an accountant) next week?

I copied the .gnucash directory but that was not enough... what else do I need? 
Can the copy be made while gnucash is running?
