Reconcile issue

He was talking about both.

If his starting balance is COMPLETELY off then he'll definitely have
problems.  I did talk to the point of changing the starting balance of
the reconciliation too.  Both are wrong.

But yes, the ending balance is all that matters.  If the starting
balance is off that means you just need to re-reconcile the transaction
that you somehow messed up.  If the ending balance is off that means you
failed to enter a transaction correctly.
