Jeff,
Considering the vagueness of your post I'm afraid the best answer you
can get is: RTFM. And honestly years ago when I started with GnuCash I
did just that and it was really quite helpful.
For the rest I (and I'm sure many others on this list) would be happy to
answer any specific questions you may have.
