I hope Elizabeth will not mind if I suggest that there was a small
misunderstanding that caused this issue.  I think that when you asked
'What is the point of using an account as parent if I need to post
individual transactions to it?' she interpreted this as a rhetorical
question so she thought you meant something like 'I do not see any
point in using an account as parent if I need to post individual
transactions to it.'  and replied that others may see a point to it.
Thereby making an entirely 'reasonable' reply, though it did not in
fact answer your question.
