Selecting multiple accounts in reports

Hi,

I want to select certain accounts in the advanced portfolio report, but
this question really pertains to the general issue of using the Ctrl key
in the Windows environment.

I am used to holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on items that I want
to add or remove from a collection of items in a list.  However, when I
try to do that in the select accounts list for this report, sooner or
later the list will telescope closed and de-select everything.

How can I successfully select items in this list?

By the way, does this qualify as a basic question, stupid question, or
naive question?
