I do completely understand the open source distinction.  You are correct to
point out that I misquoted the original poster by typing 'freeware' instead
of 'free software' but such nit-picking hardly resembles a point of
argument.

There are two complete philosophical communities discussed here, and this is
not freeware.
This (Gnucash) is FOSS or free and open source software.

Please read up about this philosophical difference before making any more
comments.
