Is there a way to automatically update the balance account when importing a file?

I'm a new user of gnucash and check for this information without success.

Is there a way to automatically update the balance account when importing a
file (like a .QFX)?

I wish to use gnucash only to conciliate my balance sheet once a year, so
transaction conciliation is not really interesting for me. I just want to
conciliate the balance.

I already check and this information seems available in the .QFX file.
