Thanks for catching this. I decided to call it an expense because I
wanted a way to keep track of what I spend on miscellaneous out-of-pocket things. 
For me, "Expenses:PocketCash" means miscellaneous out-of-pocket.

I don't keep track of every little postcard and newspaper that I buy. Thus,
if I counted pocket cash as an asset, eventually GnuCash would tell me
that I have thousands of dollars of cash in my wallet. This would be
inaccurate and could lead to confusion.

The way I've set it up, GnuCash will eventually tell me that I've spent
thousands of dollars on miscellaneous out-of-pocket expenses. This might
disconcert me but would not confuse or mislead me.

But I'm very new to the notion of double-entry bookkeeping. If I'm
making a mistake, I'd like to learn a better way.
